I’m not sure if Dallas missed the memo, but it’s December. This is the time for sitting around the fireplace with hot chocolate and snuggling under a blanket on the couch watching holiday movies (or a marathon of Friends episodes…) because it is too cold to go outside. For those of you who do not live in Dallas, the temperature today was 75! It was a gorgeous sunny day that felt like spring time and really made you second guess what time of year it is when you stepped outside.
This army green button down with leather shorts and heels was perfect for a day like today. I am loving how popular leather (faux of course) has been lately and I truly think this trend is here to stay. These black faux leather shorts have a beautiful finish and a nice zipper detail on the front pockets. I thought the men’s inspired faded button down kept in tone with an edgier look. One of the things I love most about both of these pieces is how versatile they will be! I can throw on the army green shirt over a tank top and wear it open with jeans or leggings as well as put on tights underneath the leather shorts to wear throughout the winter with sweaters! I threw on my new favorite sunglasses I picked up at Versona Accessories (only $3.99!!) and my black and tan double ankle strap heels from Forever 21 to complete the look. Have you experimented with the army green and leather trends this season? What do you think of these trends??
