As some of you know I picked up this tweed skirt last week for only $1.88 from Ann Taylor LOFT. I know, I know. I’m still in shock too (if you don’t believe me, click here for the evidence!). Skirts like this are my go-to piece for professional attire. Working in corporate America I have to be professionally dressed at all times (some more professional than others) and let’s face it, it can be hard to show your personal style when restricted to a specific dress code. My goal is to slowly push the boundaries with my work attire and express my personal style while still achieving a professional look. I paired my skirt with a blush blouse from last season that is also from Ann Taylor LOFT. I love how feminine the ruffles and material of this blouse is. Blush is such a romantic color and the sheerness of the blouse is a nice contrast to the heavier, tweed skirt and tweed clutch I’m wearing. The tweed clutch is, you guessed it, also from Ann Taylor LOFT! I love the hints of blue and white throughout the mainly black textured fabric and the gold chain strap that you can either wear on your shoulder or tuck in and carry as a handbag. What do you think of this look? How do you incorporate your personal style into your work attire?
