Sun? Is that you? I cannot tell you how relieved I was to see a line of suns when I checked my weather app today. More sun means more opportunity to wear outfits like this and head to the pool. While this mesh tunic from RiffRaff could also be worn as a top, I think it is the perfect cover-up to wear over your swimsuit. It’s easy to throw on and I love the subtle mesh detail in the front. I must have a thing for mesh lately because I recently picked up this “mesh teeny triangle top” from Victoria’s secret in white that you can see a little bit of in this look. It’s a little sporty and a little sexy and comes in multiple colors (I also got it in a fun, neon coral color!). But let’s get to what I think is the star of this look, the gladiator sandals. Gladiator sandals are a trend I’ve wrestled with but when I tried on these Fergalicious gold-studded ones at DSW, it was a done deal. If you plan on buying a pair, I recommend trying a few styles out to see what you feel best in. Don’t force it if you don’t feel like they fit right on your calves, there are plenty of styles out there from lace-ups to zippers and knee-high to ankle-high. I have linked several options below (including the ones I’m wearing) for you to shop! As much as I wish I could buy the Chloe Suede Gladiators, I have my eye on these from Topshop and these from Steve Madden.
Tunic: RiffRaff $32 (comes in black, white and navy) // Bikini Top: Victoria’s Secret $28 (they recently had a sale for the top and bottom set for $35!) // Gladiator Sandals: Fergalicious (purchased at DSW) // Bucket Bag: Ross // Colorful bracelet: c/o Sears // Gold Stud Bracelet: c/o Sears // Light blue bracelet: old
Do you own a pair of gladiator sandals? Any plans to try this shoe trend this summer? Let me know what you think in the comments!
Thank you for reading and have a great week!
