Ahh the weekend. The part of the week pretty much every human being looks forward to (myself included). Last Sunday morning I spent some time at the hip, little coffee shop inside The Joule Hotel called Weekend Coffee with my blogger in crime, Taylor. We were fueling up before a morning full of taking blog photos and as I was sipping my mocha still trying to wake up, I caught a glimpse of what looked like a famous actor a few tables away. After a couple of useless eye scrunches and another swig of my coffee I looked again and realized… THAT IS JASON SCHWARTZMAN! For those of you who may not know who he is, Jason Schwartzman plays in many of the Wes Anderson films like The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Darjeeling Limited, and probably his most famous role, Rushmore. If you’re not exactly a movie buff and you’re over there like, “Natalie, I still have no idea who you’re talking about”, maybe this will help. You know that song “California” that was the theme song for the show, The O.C.? Well he was the drummer in that band (Phantom Planet) too. Side note: was anyone else obsessed with The O.C.? I could never get enough of that show. I even had the DVD’s! Anyway, it was pretty exciting to see him in the flesh. If he wasn’t with his wife and kids I might have gotten all fan girl on him and asked for a photo, but this time I kept it cool.
