Fashion (Week) Forward Jumpsuit

*This post is sponsored by Sears. All thoughts and opinions are my own!

If you’ve been on social media the past week, or on the internet at all recently for that matter, you’ve probably noticed a little thing called “New York Fashion Week” is going on right now. This is the time of year that we ooh and aah over the newest collections from the top fashion designers and discover what trends will be strong for next season. Not only do I love seeing the new designs and creations showcased on the runway, I love looking at photos of the street style of the people attending these runway shows. While I would have LOVED to be in New York right now, it just was not possible since I only got back from Israel last week (there’s always next season!).

Dallas-Fashion-Blog-3221 Dallas-Fashion-Blog-3215But just because I’m not in New York attending shows does not mean I can’t bring you a little #NYFW inspired fashion, right?! This Metaphor abstract print jumpsuit from Sears is definitely a statement maker and the perfect piece to add to your closet for fall. I wore this look last weekend to Dallas’s own fashion week and got several compliments! I am always a sucker for a good jumpsuit but as we all know, it can be hard to find one that fits in all the right places.

A few key areas to pay attention to when buying a jumpsuit:

Waist: The most flattering jumpsuits are the ones that have a defined waistline. The gold metal belt that comes with this empire waist jumpsuit adds that extra definition to your waistline giving you an hourglass shape!

Fabric: You never want to wear a fabric head to toe that doesn’t have a little give, especially with a jumpsuit! This one drapes effortlessly without being clingy or too tight!

Length: Most women want to elongate their legs, so make sure your jumpsuit pant legs are not bunching at the bottom from too much fabric or falling too short from not enough fabric. This one has above the ankle cuffs and falls at just the right place while I’m wearing heels (for reference I am 5’5″).

Dallas-Fashion-Blog-3227 Dallas-Fashion-Blog-3233I was so impressed with the flattering fit of this sleeveless, V-neck jumpsuit that is on sale right now for under $40! Jumpsuit: c/o Sears (Metaphor) $39.99 (retails at $80!) // Heels: DSW // Bracelets: Forever 21 // Purse: Forever 21

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a great weekend! I’m headed to Amarillo this weekend for a college soccer reunion, so be sure to follow along on Instagram (@natalie_keinan) and Snapchat (username: thefashionhour)!

It’s so hard to find a flattering jumpsuit! I have a short torso and mile long legs so I have to be careful about not looking crazy. This seems like its perfect!

As a fan of jumpsuit, I love and agree to these tips. I am more of a romper girl versus a pantsuit!

Girl you look A-MAZ-ING! I love this jumpsuit and you totally know how to wear it! I love the tips especially the one about letting the jumpsuit have a little give in it, there’s nothing worse than seeing a girl barely be able to walk because the suit is riding up in the wrong places.
