How to Tuck a Blouse Into a Skirt

When your day job requires business professional attire, blouses paired with pencil skirts are part of the weekly rotation. If you’re anything like me, tucking that silk blouse into your skirt and keeping it there throughout the day is a constant struggle. When you’re standing in front of your mirror at home it looks great, but once you get in and out of your car to actually start your day, it turns into a complete mess or not tucked in at all. Not cool.

To avoid looking disheveled, I have a secret weapon to keep my blouse tucked in my skirt: a hair tie. Yes! A simple little hair tie! There are many ways to tightly tuck a blouse into a skirt like pinning it, tucking it into your underwear (kind of gross when you think about it), etc., but for me, the safest and most sanitary way to keep your billowy blouse securely styled throughout the day is the hair tie.

The trick to the tuck: a hair tie!

Like I mentioned before, blouses and pencil skirts are basically my uniform at work so it is no surprise I grabbed this beautifully embellished Ann Taylor top from T.J. Maxx to add to my wardrobe. This was a great find since this blouse retails at Ann Taylor for $98 and I scored it for less than half price at $39.99. This faux leather pencil skirt from Forever 21 and my Kenneth Cole nude pumps were both a steal making this entire look extremely affordable! Don’t you just love the detailed embellishments on this shirt? I linked several of the items along with similar deals below!
