Happy Monday! It’s about to get festive over here on The Fashion Hour. Throughout the month of December I will be sharing various holiday looks for every occasion, a few gift ideas, an update or two on Miss Mila Shai (because I can’t help myself) and maybe even a recipe (because who doesn’t love baking this time of year?).
To kick off this month of holiday content I am starting with this incredible plaid coat. Sometimes making a style statement is as simple as throwing on a plaid coat over jeans and a white t-shirt. At the bottom of this post I have over a dozen plaid coat options for you to click through ranging in length and style of plaid. My favorite is the one I am wearing in today’s post (obviously because that’s the one I bought!).
While you will probably be attending a few holiday parties and need nicer outfits to wear, today’s post is focused on a casual holiday look you could wear any day. I love window shopping this time of year because all of the stores have their decorations up and the streets are usually filled with lights. This plaid coat is perfect for throwing on over jeans and a t-shirt to keep you warm and comfortable browsing your favorite stores. Keep in mind this plaid coat is lighter weight. I love that it doesn’t look heavy yet the material still keeps you warm.
To make this look extra festive I paired my plaid coat with a pair of red ankle-strap pumps and a red pom beanie. The exact beanie I bought at Forever 21 is sold out but this one is identical and under $7! My heels come in 3 colors (a dusty pink/nude and black) and I LOVE them. You can’t see the ankle strap since I’m wearing jeans but they are adorable! I think the shade of red is so pretty and festive and it’s hard to beat a great pair of heels for under $100! Here are a few more plaid coat options for you to check out!

What do you like to do this time of year? Mila is still so small but her eyes already light up at our Christmas tree! I can’t wait to take her to see Christmas lights!
Thanks for reading and be sure to come back tomorrow for another new holiday post!
