Hi there! I’m excited to share this post with you today featuring some special ladies and some really fabulous fall fashion from UK retailer Marks and Spencer. The girls in these photos should look familiar to you as they have all made a handful of appearances on The Fashion Hour over the last couple of years (most recently here and here). We always have the best time together whether it be goofing off while shooting photos like these or just getting together for brunch or cocktails for a good quality girls night. Each and every one of these girls is special in their own way, has their own unique style, and run fantastic blogs full of fashion inspiration.
Being a part of this “blogging world” for almost 3 years now has given me the opportunity to meet so many incredible people and I’m happy to say several of them have become close friends. I think sometimes there is a common misconception that bloggers are in constant competition with each other and aren’t really friends. I can’t speak for everyone in this industry but I know for me personally, it couldn’t be farther from the truth. You know that great (but kind of cliche) quote,
Girls compete with each other. Women empower one another”
That’s exactly how I feel. It’s hard for me to relate to people that feel like they need to put others down in order to build themselves up or make themselves feel unique. I prefer to focus on the positive things I see in people and I believe there is plenty of room for all of us to succeed (it’s a pretty big world we live in after all).
These girls and I have been through quite a bit together and have been there for each other to support, encourage (and of course snap each other’s photos along the way). I feel so grateful to have these strong, inspired, entrepreneurial-minded ladies in my life and hope you’ll check out their wonderful blogs if you haven’t already!
I love getting together for these shoots because not only do we have a lot of fun (I tend to get in trouble for talking too much during photos and end up laughing the whole time #notamodel) but I also love seeing everyone’s different style. We partnered with Marks and Spencer to share some easy transitional pieces from summer to fall that are not only adorable and fashionable, but a great price point! We can all be pretty picky but each of us found countless pieces we fell in love with and I guarantee you will be seeing more pieces from Marks and Spencer on the blog very soon. If you’re not already familiar with them, Marks and Spencer is a leading retailer in the UK offering British style for women, men, children, and home accessories. I am obsessed with my oversized coatigan (coat meets cardigan) and love how easy it is to escalate a simple jeans and tee outfit to fall-inspired style. You can visit the Marks and Spencer site here, but scroll down to shop all of our looks!
